Inferno did nothing until near the end the battle. After summoning the Raya Lucaria Soldiers which is a spirit ash you can find at the end of the Road's End Catacombs that calls forth three warriors, Inferno was sitting down and watching the fight like an anime boss waiting for a fight to conclude before taking on the contender. Inferno took one hit but since their health pool was so high, it was not a fatal blow. Once Inferno's Raya Lucaria Soldiers were defeated, after nearly killing The Tree Sentinel by themselves, Inferno began to clean the scene with a quick series of spear thrusts. It was hilariously glorious to witness.
Some people weren't aware that the video was a farce. Because they wrote "Game is hard" in the video the internet was confused by the idea the Elden Ring isn't as hard as it actually is. (It is!) A few ridiculed Inferno for beating the "beginner boss." Others offered their strategies for defeating the Tree Sentinel, most of which were based on getting a bit more level. This is the most likely reason for how those soldiers are capable of taking on the boss as well.
I love playing cheesy opponents like this and FromSoftware is a great game for this with the ability in summoning both spiritashes and real-world players to play. I tried something similar while fighting the Tree Sentinel, calling upon my ghostly wolves as well as receiving help from a magical-based warrior. We completely defeated him but it wasn't so easy as Inferno's approach. People are becoming proficient in Elden Ring, killing enemies in style. On my side will likely never make the credits.
